- Photographers record the aftermath of a battle while Salvadoran army soldiers gather body bags of 57 dead soldiers killed by guerrillas from the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional, Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front, FMLN, in Tejutepeque, El Salvador, March 26, 1984. Guerrillas attacked two army positions in Tejutepeque, 20 miles from San Salvador, and reported 16 of their own killed in the ambush.

This new normal includes not only updated health consciousness but larger structural transformations in economics and politics. This project will focus on a few microcosms of transformation; the rise of unemployment and the impact of the creative arts, and the effects of mental health during the ongoing pandemic. Overall, this interview between Ashlie Gorman and Alexis Zilen will provide insight into the new normal and the transformation of American creative culture during the pandemic.
