The third day of Diwali is reserved for cow and ox worship. The crow is worshiped the first day, the dog on the second, and the fourth day is celebrated as the beginning of the New Year. In cow worship, the oldest woman in the household gives the cow a tikka, offers food, hugs the cow’s hindquarters, touches the cow’s vagina, and rubs that hand over her head and chest.
