Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. The head of a daimyo’s procession crosses the bridge over the Toyo. Two peasants are kneeled to the side to let the procession pass and to show their respect to the feudal lord. Cargo ships large and small fill the Toyo river below. The towers of the castle can be seen rising from the mist and trees in the distance.
