Letter to W.L. Davidson from John Gutteridge stating that Gutteridge is heading out from New York to Los Angeles by train and asking for Davidson to send him a check by the 26th (the day before he leaves New York). Also informs Davidson that he will be receiving a donation check in the mail, and mentions other promises he has gotten for contributions to the University. Spends much of the letter discussing a conference that he spoke at, and what was discussed at the conference, including whether or not there was sufficient money for American University to open.
