- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A woman is multi-pattern Kimono and festive hair ornaments stands by the edge of a cliff. Behind her two children stand by the edge as well. The cliff overlooks a vast flat landscape with the silhouette of mountains in the distance. The cliffside is dotted with a few blooming trees. The activity depicted here is called Kawarake-nage. People would throw unglazed earthenware from a high place with prayers to ward off evil and enjoy watching the dishes fly in the air. In this instance the woman and children are playing the game at Asuka hill.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A group of three, including a young boy, a young woman dressed in colorful furisode (Long sleeved Kimono), and an older woman who is possibly their mother stand at the base of one of the two famous stairways leading up to Atago Shrine. The one depicted is the Otokozaka (Man's stairs) which were at a steep incline, the other not shown are the Onnazaka (Woman's stairs) which were a more gradual slope. A procession is coming down the steps indicating the occasion is Gohanshiki, a unique festival at the shrine that was famous in Edo. The figure dressed in the clothing of a low-level samurai with fern frond on his head is the stand in for the titular servant of the god Bishamon, who a central character in the festivities.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A mother and child at the center of the image enjoy the bright autumn colors along with another set of visitors farther back to their left. In the background framed by the orange trees is a watery vista with the white sails of ships of the horizon. Kaian-ji temple was a Soto sect temple built in Shinagawa, the foremost stop of the Tokaido road. It was very famous for it's autumn colors and attracted many visitors especially in the tenth month of the lunar year, which was called Kana-zuki (The month where the gods are absent.) It was thought in this month hat all the gods had left to go to Izumo grand shrine in the west so there was few festival in Edo during this time.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. Two women walk together along the Mukojima river. Behind them one of the area's many cherry blossom trees blooms. On the river a leisure boat passes by and on the opposite shore is the silhouettes of trees and various buildings. The two central women in the foreground are both holding either end of a thin pole at the center of which is a bundle of green bags marked Sakuramochi. Sakura mochi is a springtime treat that became popular in Edo decades earlier and continues to be a common desert made today.

Around her is an elaborate picnic set up at the blooming branches hang down from the top of the image. The bloom of flowers compliment the light pink florals of her kimono. In the background other visitors to the park enjoy themselves. More cherry blossom trees can be seen in the background along with the buildings of the nearby temple.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A lone woman stands on the left side of the image mirrored by a small cherry blossom tree in bloom. Behind her is a nighttime street scene with two departing figures and a palanquin waiting off to the right slightly obscured by the gateway. The woman is an oiran, a high-level courtesan, and as the title indicates the print is depicting Shin-Yoshiwara the licensed red light district of Edo. The woman's status can be seen by the copious number of hair pins in her complicated coiffure and her brightly patterned kimono with a front tied obi.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A trio, two women and a man, stand on the path leading to Otori Shrine. Behind them the path winds back into the scene crowded with people coming and going from the shrine. The festival depicted is Tori no ichi, a well-known event in Edo that took place on the day of the Rooster in the Eleventh Month of the lunar year. The man in the image is a holding a rake (kumade) which was a central item in the celebration, since farmers would bring them to the shrine to be dedicated. On his ceremonial rake there is a mask of a plump woman which was though to called forth good fortune. He is also holding a bundle of taro which was another auspicious item associated with the festival.

A mother and child pairing, likely from a wealthy samurai family based on the young boy’s pair of swords, walk along the river side in the foreground. Across the river is a busy street with vendors and a gate into a nearby district to the far right. Beyond the wall in the upper left-hand corner and grey tower can be seen rising above the trees. This is the Fire watch tower (Hinomi) mentioned in the print's title. The fire tower was striking landmark in the area and also served an important purpose for the fire prone city of Edo.

The wind can be seen in the sway of their long sleeves and the bend of the tall river grass. On the opposite banks heavy mist hangs low and hides the forests beyond. Fireflies fill the air by the river and catch the girl's attention. In Ochiai where the Kanda and Igusa rivers met was a popular spot to see fireflies in the evening. people would also come to enjoy the cool breezes and clear view of the moon.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A pairing of a married and unmarried woman in decadent kimono sit on a leisure boat partially in frame in the lower right-hand corner. The river behind them other boats filled with people and covered in festive red lanterns. Everyone is watching the bright red fireworks exploding over Ryogoku-bashi bridge as part the annual firework festival. There were two major Fireworks shops in Edo, Tamaya and Kagiya. It was the sixth proprietor of the Kagiya shop Yahei, who began the tradition of the Kagiya shop handling the Ryogoku festival fireworks. Tamaya was spin off of Kagiya and the two shops would begin to split the work. Tamaya handling the area upstream of the Ryogaku-bashi bridge and Kagiya handling downstream.

In the foreground of the print a woman holding the Bonito tuna mentioned in the print's title and a male child playing with a hoop toy greet each other. Separating them and the landscape scene of Nihonbashi and Mount Fuji is an abstract space that fades from green to white and purple terminating in a cloud pattern. The Bonito Tuna was a sought after hatsumono or "first product of the season." It was particularly popular in the Meiwa, An’ei, Bunka, and Bunsei eras when there was a boom and rise in tuna prices.

The child is holding a branch with various ornaments and toys on it. The woman is dressed warmly in an over coat and hood. Across the water and to the left the various structures of the Kameido Shrine complex can be seen, slightly obscured by yellow mist in the background. The title indicates the visitors are here for their first visit of the year a custom called Hatsumode. This is when people make their first prayers of the new year.

At the front of the boat is the ferryman who face the far shore, his back to the viewer. The stark white of the tree line contrasts with the deep Prussian blue of the river. The sky is a dark grey highlighting the still falling snow.

A young woman and child, likely a geisha and apprentice, stand just outside the Torii gate leading to the ground of Hie shrine (Also sometimes called Hiyoshi as it is in the print's title). In the background the roof of the Hie shrine can be seen rising about a thick grove of trees. The Geisha and apprentice are cross-dressed as Tekomai the men they would the festival processions. For the Sanno festival featured in this print as well as the Kanda and Yoshiwara's Niwaka Festival the procession leaders would be cross-dressed geisha instead of men.

The woman is likely a wealthy wife based on her shaved eyebrows and means of transportation. Past the abstract cloud pattern is a landscape of Myoho-ji Temple, the principal temple of Nichiren Buddhism. Visiting the temple was said to help pilgrims dispel misfortune.

The temple grounds are lavishly decorated and busy with people. The occasion is Eshiki, a Buddhist ceremony held by temples of the Nishiren sect. Honmon-ji's was particularly lavish because tit was the temple that the founder Nichiren had spent the last years of his life.

- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A young woman dressed in a floral furisode kimono sits at a small desk reading, accompanied by a little cat to her left and an intricate flower arrangement to her right. She looks away from her book to the circular window behind her. Outside the window the rooftops of various buildings can be seen as well as a large kiln with smoke rising from it. This kiln is producing the Imado ware mentioned in the title. This is a specialty pottery ware produced in Asakusa.
