- Wounded Knee
- Date
- 1974
- Description
- Flier gives an account of the longest war waged by the United States: the war against Native Americans from 1776-1974. An overview of the Treaty of 1868, the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre, and the 1973 Wounded Knee liberation are presented. Also included is the American Indian Movement's Three Point Program developed as a nationally coordinated strategy to attack financial and political interests which utilize the U.S. Government to exploit Native Americans. The Three Point Program outlines the need for a treaty commission, the repeal of the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, and the removal of the Bureau of Indian Affairs from the Department of the Interior.
