- Pete Piazza discusses his service in the as an air policemen with the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He served three tours during 1966, 1967-1968, and 1970-1971. As an air policeman he helped guard the American military bases in Vietnam. Piazza also discusses how veterans have been impacted by their service, specifically the mental toll that PTSD has taken in the years since returning to civilian life. The narrator additionally reflects upon the memorialization of the Vietnam War in American culture through film, monuments, and the internet. Interviews conducted for American University's Fall 2021 Oral History course by Sara Casazza.

He discusses his multiple trips to Vietnam and the work he did as a seabee creating local infrastructure. Rogers details his perception of the Vietnam War in popular culture and which aspects of the war Hollywood has correctly portrayed and which have been overlooked. Lastly, Rogers discusses his thoughts on Vietnam War memorials around the country and specifically expresses his contentment towards the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC.
