- Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. On the left side is Hakone lake, lined with mountainous shores. In the immediate foreground, a perilous, rugged cliff takes up the whole right side of the composition. It is rendered in a patchwork of blocky colors. In front of the cliff in the bottom right corner, a parade of pilgrims can be seen traveling through the mountainous terrain.

At the far right, the faint white conical shape of Mount Fuji can be seen in the distance. In the foreground, a group of ship sails gathers in the lower right corner, to the left of those stakes sticking out of the water. Along the rocky shores, fishing boats are lined up in the water.

Pine trees line the path, and some travelers stop to view a large boulder on the road. The rock is said to commemorate the murder of a woman whose ghost led the authorities to her murderer.

This is the first version; there are only two figures on the nearby bank

In the distance are vast rice fields and marshes leading back to a mountain range. In the base of the mountains are a set of stone walls and gates can be seen. This is the third version of this print; it differs from the first two states by the inclusion of five figures on the near bank and pointed mountain tops rather than rounded.
