Description:This project aims to document and expand upon the experiences of women of color that joined predominantly-white sororities during their time at college or university. Focused on the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma, the interviews ask narrators to detail the events of their college experiences, with a further emphasis on their experiences while in Greek Life, as well as how they reflect on those experiences in their current moment. While focused on the theme of race and ethnicity in predominantly-white organizations nationally, individual experiences and demographics, as well as other factors also contribute to the formation of their experiences while in the sorority. In addition to their experiences in college or university, the project also aims to have the narrators reflect on how their time in Kappa Kappa Gamma affected them afterwards in their professional and/or professional life after graduation.
