Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. A huge crowd of people come and go through the bright red gates of Imamiya Ebisu shrine. Vendor stalls and pine trees line the packed walkways. Imamiya Ebisu was originally constructed in the year 600 under the reign of the first of Japan's eight reigning empresses, Empress Suiko. The shrine became famous for the bustling market associated with it.
