Description:
Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. In the foreground, a pair of women are carried across the water with the help of porters. Coming from the opposite bank are other travelers with luggage and horses. Beyond the far bank are green hills surrounded by mist at the base. The archive print has a slight difference in the inking of the women’s kimono from other prints.
