Description:
Nishiki-e (Multicolored Print), ink and color on paper. Amongst a group of lower peaks, Fuji rises from the misty rice fields. Those lower peaks are named Ukishimagahara and Ashitakayama. In the patties, cranes rest and graze together. In the foreground, a group of travelers stops to chat on the path cutting across the lower-left corner of the frame. A line of birds, possibly more cranes, fly up near the summit of Fuji. The warm gradient of salmon and orange indicates it is morning.
